Frequently Asked Questions

Here is a friendly page to help you out

Will the course module run on a mobile device such as a smart phone or a tablet?

The module has been designed to run on a desktop, laptop, or tablet computer. We do not recommend that you access it from a smart phone. If you are using an iPad, you will be prompted to install the free Articulate Storyline player app. Use of the app will ensure the best playback experience. The course also runs as HTML5 in compliant browsers such as Chrome, so the course module can be viewed without the player and on tablets other than iPads.

What happens after I successfully pass the quiz?

When you pass the quiz, you will see a link on the “My Training Home Page” to print a “Certificate of Completion” that shows you have successfully completed this required training. The SC Respite Coalition also will notify the Fiscal Agent when you successfully passed the module so that you can complete the forms to enroll as an employer.

What happens if after completing the module, I am unable to pass the quiz?

After three unsuccessful quiz attempts, someone from the SC Respite Coalition will be in touch with you to help determine what your options might be for your next steps.

If I have questions about the process of becoming an employer in the DDSN’s Family-Selected Respite Caregiver Program or the course module content, who do I contact?

For most questions concerning the details of the Family-Selected Respite Caregiver Program, you will want to contact your Case Manager at your local DSN Board. If you have feedback or questions concerning the information in the course module, please contact the SC Respite Coalition at training@screspitecoalition.org, by phone in the Columbia area at (803) 935-5027, or statewide at (866) 345-6786.

Are the course module and quiz compliant with the accessibility requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973?

The course and quiz were designed to be inclusive of learners with a wide range of needs including those using assistive technology. If you experience accessibility issues in using the module or quiz, please let the SC Respite Coalition know at training@screspitecoalition.org, by phone in the Columbia area at (803) 935-5027, or statewide at (866) 345-6786.
